Hey there! We’re Sam and Hamza, two life-long friends with the goal of introducing new Middle Eastern foods to the American market. We met in high school in Jordan and bonded over a shared passion for sports and Middle Eastern food. A decade later we reunited in New York City and after reminiscing about our favorite Middle Eastern foods, we decided to bring one of our favorite Middle Eastern dishes, Toum, to our neighborhoods. We hope you love it as much as we do!
In addition to being a fun combination of our names, SAHA also means "health" in Arabic and is the root for other words such as SAHTAYN, meaning "bon appétit", and "SAHTAK", meaning "to your health". We hope to embody all these sentiments in SAHA, and also pay hommage to the origin of our foods and Middle Eastern hospitality.
